Sale Manager
I want to put my product(s) on sale. How do I do that?
If you would like to offer sale pricing on a product(s), you can put that product on sale through the Sale Manager Tool. See the below step-by-step directions for more information.
Using the Sale Manager
The Sale Manager lists all your products by version and provides fields to set sale dates, quantity, and pricing. Follow these step-by-step instructions to use the Sale Manager:
- Click ‘Sale Manager.’
- Search for the product you would like to manage. You can search by Version Id, Short or Full Product Name, or Artist. When searching by product name, only the first few letters of the name are necessary.
- Once you have located the product(s) you would like to put on sale, you have a few options when creating sales.
- You can use the Quick Set, which will apply a sale to all of the products listed on the current page. Enter the percentage you would like to discount all of those products in the first Quick Set field. Enter when you would like all of the sales to start in the next Quick Set field. And in the last Quick Set field, enter when you would like all of your sales to end. Click the ‘Go’ button.
All of the products on the page now should have the appropriate fields filled. Check the boxes to agree to the sales conditions. If you have questions about these, please refer to the Seller Sale Pricing FAQs. - If you would like to give products different discounts or sale times, you can manually enter in the information instead. Fill in the fields for both a start and end date as well as a sale price for each product. Every product must also have a list price. If the product doesn’t have all these fields filled, it will not be placed on sale.
The Sale Qty field is optional. If you do not wish to have a maximum number of products sold, the sale will end on the end date you specify. You do not have to fill out this field.
After all of the fields are filled, check the boxes to agree to the sales conditions.

And in the last Quick Set field, enter when you would like all of your sales to end. Click the ‘Go’ button.
- Click on the ‘Save Sale Program Now’ button to put the items on sale.
- The only way to change a sale after the information has been saved is by cancelling the sale. Since there is a 5-day waiting period before a product can be put on sale again, please review all of your information carefully before saving a sale!
- If you would like to cancel a sale on a particular product, check the ‘End Sale Now’ box next to the appropriate product, check the boxes agreeing to the sales conditions, and then click on the ‘Save Sale Program Now’ button. The product cannot be put on sale for five days after the sale has been ended.
What is the Sale Quantity Field Used For?
This Sale Quantity is a useful feature, and allows the seller to control how many pieces are sold at a reduced rate. Having a set amount to be sold at a reduced rate–especially if it’s a deeply discounted rate–can help create a buzz for a product.
To limit the quantity of an item sold at a discounted rate, set the quantity you want sold at that rate in the ‘Sale Qty’ field. Once the sale quantity limit of that product has been reached, the sale will ‘end’ and the price will automatically go back to the regular (list) price.
If you are placing an item on sale and DO NOT wish to limit the sale quantity (ie: everyone can purchase it at the sale price during the sale dates), then please leave the Sale Quantity field blank.
Limiting a sale quantity can be a great marketing tool for new releases. Build the hype that the first ‘X’ number of people can get the product at a discount. This may help to increase traffic and sales of your new release as well as for the rest of your catalog.
